DNA nanotechnology

Nature has realized many of the dreams of nanotechnology. Bionanomachines have been selected by evolution to perform almost every imaginable function, including assembly, sensing, computation, communication, and actuation. Evolved machines perform these nanoscale tasks accurately, consistently, and under specific control. The capability to design new machines that match the performance of evolved ones has the potential to revolutionize materials science and nanomedicine, and its development is thus the long-term goal of our lab.
